All three top series are running this weekend at Darlington Raceway for what NASCAR has dubbed “Throwback Weekend.” Many teams and drivers will be sporting paint schemes honoring the history of the sport and the sport’s greatest drivers. While this weekend has been happening for several years now, I don’t recall a weekend with this many drivers across the three series’ participating. Darlington presents a unique challenge for drivers because of its shape and dimensions. Adding the mystery of how a new car will be handled in the Cup Series on the unique track will add to that drama. Throw on some nostalgic paint schemes? By golly we got us a visually appealing masterpiece.
