What a weekend filled with all sorts of things and stuff! First off, major congratulations to my cousin Griffin and his now WIFE/my new cousin Megan. It was a beautiful wedding on a beautiful day and tons of fun was had by all. It was an honor to serve as the Best Man, a day many, including me, will never forget!
The Spartans Own the Wolverines
Paul Bunyan is staying in East Lansing and I robbed the sportsbook because if it. First off, the Spartans were 4.5 point underdogs at home, so I hit that AND the moneyline +170. Then after going down by two scores in the 3rd quarter, the moneyline was sitting at +470 and my under 50.5 was beyond dead. I went for that, and the benefits were beyond rewarding. Even taking the betting and winning out of it, beating Michigan is just so much fun because they think they are so superior and they just aren’t. Not to Michigan State, certainly not to Ohio Sate, not to anyone. I don’t understand their attitude of entitlement because they have won minimal anything for as long as I can remember.
This is only the beginning of the gauntlet for the Big Ten, however. Michigan State, Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State are all going to play each other before the season’s end. The title game has no certainties by any means yet, but we will have some answers sooner rather than later.
NCAAF Record: 45-38
NFL Bets for Week 8
Not great, Bob. It started with Bears +4.5 and thinking the Lions would get their first win. Those were two of the stupidest things I could feel in the history of feeling. The Bengals cost me my spot in survivor, losing to a quarterback who might have been bagging groceries the day before for all I know. But even through a Jameis Winston torn ACL, I still picked the Saints moneyline and it totally worked at home against the Bucs.
The Bears played without Matt Nagy on the sidelines and Justin Fields has looked as good as he has all year long, but it wasn’t enough to stop a late push from the 49ers. The Bears defense just didn’t have enough at the end without Khalil Mack and aging key pieces. There is major concern for the future of the team for me. Monday night, I will be with the team in hostile territory to take on the Steelers and their fans. God help us all because I think it might get ugly.
I was all kinds of wrong last night, even knowing the whole time the Giants would cover. I thought I could sneak in a 1st touchdown prop by splitting a unit between Kelce and Mahomes running in himself, but it did not happen, and the over died immediately. The NFL season overall for me has been one to forget.
NFL Record: Not great, Bob.
The Bulls Made History Last Night
Before the game, if you follow the Tom E Experience Twitter account, you saw I took the Bulls moneyline as a road underdog to the Celtics. The Bulls came out firing and took the lead very early, but then the Celtics went off. Going into the 4th quarter, the Bulls were down 14 points and the moneyline was sitting at +1400. I had a feeling and Zach Levine had a look in his eye. The Bulls came all the way back and then some more. It was the first time in the shot-clock era a team down 14 going into the fourth quarter won by 14 or more points, and I was ALL over it. Shoutout me.
NASCAR Playoffs
Alex Bowman spun Denny Hamlin out to win at Martinsville in a drama filled race before the finale in Phoenix. Denny was mad at Alex, obviously, but he himself got booed by the crowd in his home state. What a wild turn of events. The final four of Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, Chase Elliot, and Martin Truex Jr. will battle it out at Phoenix to crown the 2021 Cup Series Champion.

November Record: 1-2. Tough start to the month but November brings plenty of opportunity with more than four sports happening at a time. The picks posted here and all pre-game wagers posted to Twitter is what will count to the monthly records. Again, if you aren’t following the Twitter account, you absolutely should!
World Series Game 6: Braves/Astros Over 9 Runs (+100)
Tonight’s pitching matchup will be Max Fried vs Luis Garcia. The Astros love batting against left-handed pitching, and I feel they will get the first bulk of runs early. However, I think the Braves have the number of the Astros bullpen, and will do their part late. I expect a very close and high-scoring game, I just don’t know who is going to have the majority of the runs. (Odds: PointsBet)
NBA: Bucks -4 vs Pistons (-115)
The defending champ Bucks have lost three games in a row early and need to bounce back to stay with the leaders in the East (cough cough the Bulls). It could not be a more inviting time to visit Detroit to play the Pistons, a team with minimal identity. Number one pick Cade Cunningham has only played in one game, and in 19 minutes scored 2 points. It will take some time for the Pistons to figure it all out, and the Bucks need to take advantage of that tonight. (Odds: PointsBet)
MACTION: Eastern Michigan/Toledo Over 54 Points (-110)
It’s the most wonderful time of the year. MACtion is so back and we are so taking advantage of it. I don’t know anything about any of these teams doing anything at all, but I know weird stuff happens on a weekday MACtion night and chances are points will be a side-effect of that. Plus, life is too short to bet the under. (Odds: PointsBet)
