You are reading that correctly. I had a winning month of August and have started the CFB season 5-0. Would have I predicted that? Absolutely not. Yet, here we are. You cannot have a better start to a new month and a football season.
Tonight, I will not be sitting back. It is officially Week 1 of the CFB season and there are plenty of games out there. I have five picks on the board that consist of a couple of real toss ups/gambles.
Today’s Picks:

- Bowling Green/Tennessee O61 (-108)
- Ohio State -14.5 (-110)
- Ohio State/Minnesota 1Q O14.5 (+123)
- NC State -19.5 (-110)
Boise State is a mascot game. A couple of weeks ago, sadly the school’s dog passed away. They will absolutely be ready to play in memory of their fallen good boy.
Bowling Green is a team that you would expect to not go toe to toe with Tennessee. However, I do not trust Tennessee’s defense to keep points off the board. Tennessee wins, but the over is absolutely in play.
Ohio State is a favorite to win the natty this year. A Big Ten game at night on the road is never a gimme or an easy task. However, I feel like OSU is just too powerful to not pull away late. Additionally, a first quarter over is the most electric bet in college football, so we gotta go for points.
Everything I have read and seen on USF tells me they are a very bad team. NC State is an ACC school that impressed last year. The writing on the wall just tells me they can win by 20.
It’s good to have football back. Tomorrow I will blog my Friday picks. Look to Twitter to see the Saturday and Sunday boards, and we will reconvene on Monday with NFL lurking in the distance.
